Texas Fish Prints & Coastal Art

Texas Fish Prints are one of-a-kind art pieces made with high quality paints and fabrics using fish your catch. They are an alternative to traditional taxidermy that many find more aesthetically pleasing. They also make great gifts or contest trophies.

 How It Works

• Handle your catch carefully to ensure the quality of the print. Don’t clean the fish or remove scales. Keep the fish cold.
• Those living or visiting the Coastal Bend area of the Texas Gulf coast can call me and bring the catch to me that day or refrigerate it and deliver it within a few days. Outside of the Texas coast, please call or email for information & turnaround time.
• If necessary, you can gently wrap the fish and freeze it whole to deliver at a much later date. Keep it flat, wrap it gently in a towel or other padding and store it in a plastic bag.
• You’re welcome to submit a photo of the freshly caught fish to assist in matching color and markings.
• I can  print a fish to match one caught in the past if you provide a traditional or digital photo and fish size.

 Fish can be printed on a number of backgrounds such as  charts or colored fabric, but unless specifically requested, they are printed on cream or white weaver’s cloth and delivered stretched and ready to frame. Prices for a stretched print generally run at slightly lower prices as taxidermy but vary depending on the type of fish, the number of fish printed on a single canvas, additional hand-painted or three-dimensional elements and the complexity of the work. Custom matting and framing services are available and priced per job
